All it started at an after-party in London. The main party in Mahiki had been about celebrating a new contract with an old client. It was a typical celebration in England with lots of beer, lager, wine and the telling of amusing and/or embarrassing stories. As everyone started to go home, some of us decided to continue the celebration at my friends apartment.
I got chatting with a woman who claimed she had 130 thousand Twitter followers. I wasn't convinced so she showed me her Twitter page and there they were. We seemed to get on very well and had sex in my friends spare bedroom.
A few days later I was arrested, charged with rape but cleared. It turns out the woman was more interested in playing the victim to increase her Twitter followers than starting a relationship with me. Imagine my horror when Googling my name I see links to various articles about this incident, and what does this mean to future employment.
There are solutions to this problem. There are organisations that can "push down" hostile web pages :-
